Flower Still Life depicts a lush variety of different flowers, Roberto Suraci combines a complex and intricate composition of snapdragons, roses, carnations, hollyhocks, marigolds, The flowers generously spill out of the vase, filling the entire space of the image. Some are in full bloom, others fall and wither, while curved leaves and stems intertwine throughout. Complementary colors create harmony, as warm yellows and roses balance cold blues and greens. The light alternates with the shade, enlivening the flowers that stand out dramatically against the darker background. Suraci is inspired by the Dutch Flemish painter Rachel Rujsch who specializes in still life paintings of flowers. See less
