THE WATERFALL - Oil on canvas cm. 70x55 by Paolo De Robertis, Italy 2011.
Gold leaf gilded wooden frame cm.95x80
This painting was made with the oil on canvas technique and is inspired by 19th century painting. It depicts the course of a river between rocks and trees, in the darkest and most intimate part of the forest. The colors used are purely dark, but here and there comes a touch of white that illuminates the environment, giving strength to the painting thanks to this strong chiaroscuro
