Pendant lamps by Mathieu Matégot. The pendant consists of downturned hemispherical shade complete with original two-part prismatic glass lens, suspended from a conical perforated steel stem in its original cream paint that is still very good!
The pendant was designed over the years by the Hungarian-French designer Mathieu Matégot for Holophane (France). This piece is a well-known design that is well documented in general design literature. The four pendants are in surprisingly good condition with very limited traces of use. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution,
