The painting … Read more This is a beautiful oil on canvas painting by Jane Vivian (Active 1869-1890) signed on the lower left. The painting delightfully presents the view of a Venetian canal and a beautiful perspective of San Simeone Piccolo in the distance. The artist used very delicate pastel colours and has succeeded in adding some mystery to the scenery. Housed in it's original and beautiful gilt gallery frame. Several examples of her work have sold at top auction houses, see Christies, Sothebys and Bonhams. Condition: In really excellent condition, please see photos for confirmation.
