This is a one of a kind original oil painting by San Diego artist, Julia San Roman. Its dimensions are 24"x48". It is unframed. A certificate of authenticity will follow delivery.
This is a figurative surrealist work depicting a nude figure facing away from the viewers. The figure is painted in great detail as parrots fly overhead against a gold background.
In these celestial scenes, light is in constant struggle with the clouds for room in the sky. The red and yellow light beams explode through the grey amorphous masses, leaving a full spectrum of color in their wake. As the light vanquishes the dark, a feeling of optimism swells inside each of San Román’s paintings.
