Phenomenal quality of wool with great luster, sheen, and soft silk-like plush character. Colors and shades include: Rust, dark madder root red, navy blue, powder blue, blush, sapphire blue, and more. Condition notes: Even original pile height across. Fully secured sides and ends. Machine binding which appears to be applied in a reversible manner and likely overwrapping the original side cord selvages in part or full. Minor contouring to the shape of the rug, within normal margins, with one end approximately two inches wider than the other. Minor edge rolling which will release through natural use and wear with the correct pad underneath. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Engelas rug made in Persia circa 1940's vintage. See less
