This very rare model is made by the famous designer Louis Christiaan Kalff. He was the artistic director of the company Philips in Eindhoven, Holland. The dynamic shape of the lamp is exemplary of the "New Look" of the 50s. Its innovative lampshade design, with a bulb piercing the center, provides an interesting effect and practical light distribution.
