19th century German Bellarmine Bartmann jug with bearded man from the Porcelain Manufactory KPM Berlin. Jugs like this are also known as narrow necked jugs or German Enghalskrug. It has a baluster shape with a loop handle and a mounted pewter lid. The decorations are radiating ornaments in cobalt blue against a white base. The KPM scepter mark on the base dates the jug to 1849-1870. This rare Bartmann bearded man tankard is of museum
quality.
