They are a forerunner to the Clisset style and are of a rich colour and patination. These chairs are not heavy but very sturdy, due mainly to the six dowelled stretchers, the front one attractively turned. It is very difficult to find such a good close matching long set in such a marvellous condition for their 250 years of use. See less
