This pitcher and tumbler, designed by Wedgwood in 1877, is a unique example of majolica pottery. Most majolica pieces are decorated: adorned with Renaissance-inspired designs, heavily ornamented in the Victorian taste, or covered in Japanese motifs. This pitcher and tumbler, on the other hand, is simply glazed in earth brown and cobalt majolica glazes with a striking turquoise interior, making a bold and surprisingly modern visual impact. The set’s simplicity celebrates the technical innovation of majolica glazes. Developed in England in the mid-19th century, the glazes were revolutionary for their vast palette of bright, translucent colors, all of which could be fired at the same time.

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).

Cancellations

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
