A quite stunning and beautiful Edwardian overmantel made from solid mahogany. The frame is typical of the period with a slight Art Nouveau flavour to the design, whilst the silk on linen tapestry is anything but typical, with a red haired maiden smelling the scented roses whilst taking a stroll with a male lion. What a rare subject matter.
Obviously kept out of direct sunlight such is the superb condition, with all the rich colours.
