Vintage 1950s African brown and gold handwoven lace artisanal textile backed with brown linen and same brown linen backing.
Haute boho-chic style. Decorative pillow designed and handcrafted in the USA. Handstitched closure (no zipper.) Custom made pillow insert. Accent pillow handcrafted with an African textured tribal artisanal textile. The Yoruba are highly fashion-conscious people…. Colors change from season to season and such non-traditional fibers as Lurex can be introduced into strip woven cloth. A common form of decoration in Yoruba strip weaves is to introduce rows of holes among the length of the strip, akin to the open work method often referred to as ‘Spanish lace.’ The difference is that the yarns used are supplementary, rather than part of, the plain weave ground. These hand-crafting techniques are used to decorate popular sets of women’s clothing consisting of one larger and two smaller, wraps.

The Chairish Buyer Guarantee ensures that you have complete peace of mind when

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.

- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
