This large and fabulous one-of-a-kind rustic table lamp dating from the late 1950's is made from a hand-crafted antique hammered … more This large and fabulous one-of-a-kind rustic table lamp dating from the late 1950's is made from a hand-crafted antique hammered brass urn understood to have originated in Colonial India, presumably during the early 20th century but possibly earlier.

The aged patina of the antique brass together with the uniquely designed brass finial and contrasting espresso-black finished metal base are well complemented by the included custom made drum-style shade of natural textured burlap which was custom made to replace he worn but similar original mid-century shade. Together they provide a very unique and special lighting element which makes a statement and looks striking in an array of more casual interior settings.and styles.

Condition overall is excellent and belies its vintage and decades of use. The shade which was custom made several years ago is in excellent condition. The electrical base switch was replaced 10 years ago. less

Excellent to very good condition which belies the lamp's vintage age and normal use. Any perceived 'imperfections' in the lamp's brass urn are natural and to be expected in an antique hand-crafted brass container such as this one which was selected originally for its unique and rustic handmade style. The lamp received a new base switch several years ago and is currently in good working condition. But as with all electrical items, especially vintage ones such as this, it is recommended that it be professionally inspected by buyer prior to use. The included custom replacement shade made several years ago is in excellent condition.
