Heinrich Freudweiler (1755 - 1795 ): Man resting on a rock, c. 1780, PencilTechnique: Pencil on PaperInscription: lower left inscribed by another person: "H.ch Freudweiler.". Date: c. 1780Description: Charming genre scene depicting a resting man with a drinking bottle and a cup in his hand. The drawing is reminiscent in execution and motif of works by Freudweiler's friend Daniel Nikolaus Chodowiecki.Keywords: Rest, Genre, Forest, Rest, Drinking, Friendship picture, 18th century, Romanticism, People, Switzerland, Size: 12,8 cm x 13,8 cm (5 x 5,4 in)Condition: Good condition.
