The central medallion is skillfully rendered, almost cartoon like, with scrolling vines with myriad multicolored flowers. The medallion rests on an incredible burnt orange field, rarely seen in rugs of this age. The field is framed by a similarly patterned design as the central medallion. The border is unique with its scrolling vines and flowers, and the mostly grey background. This grey color is not typically seen in rugs of this era. See less
