There is a gorgeous vertical, linear ribbed design, to the perimeter edge surround of the pyramid-domed or vaulted lidded top. There is a brass hinged back, as well as the brass trip base edging between the top and base section. There is no pitting to the brass, and has been lovingly polished, with minor patina, given the age and use of the piece.
