A wonderful painting by famous illustrator and artist Walter De Maris, 1877-1947, of two turn of the century businessmen in a beautifully illuminated office, having fun with a toy duck. It is obviously Christmas as informed by the double wreaths in the window.
De Maris was a prolific Brandywine artist, mostly in the humorous vain, for Life and Judge, Saturday Evening Post, and also serious WWI posters.
