Suspension lamp 'sonora' designed by vico magistretti in 1976. Suspension lamp giving direct and diffused light, opaline blown murano glass diffuser. Manufactured by oluce, italy. The story of sonora is one of a pure geometrical shape, pursued by magistretti throughout his entire life. The creative path followed by the architect and designer in his projects is, in fact, an absolutely peculiar itinerary: geometry represents a constant fellow traveller; his main source of inspiration, always and in any case, is simplification. Sonora, created in 1976, available in several materials and sizes, is one of the symbols of this creative path and it has remained, for the entirety of its 40 years of existence, one of the most appreciated lamps not only by the public but also by magistretti himself. Materials and color: metal opaline blown murano glass dimensions: d 50 cm x w 50 cm x h 25 cm (240 cm cable) technical information: 2 x max 100 w (e27) founded in 1945, oluce is the oldest italian design company in the lighting sector still in operation today. Oluce lighting design aesthetic is crisp, linear, and decorative. A subtle, intellectual beauty that over the years has led the company to produce some of the more recognizable and admired iconic lighting in the world. Oluce, already participating at the 9th triennale in milan, throughout its long history, has received numerous acknowledgements including two golden compass awards, two design awards and the gold medal at the 13th triennale in milan. Its lamps appear in the most important permanent design collections worldwide. Oluce’s expertise reveals its unparalleled manufacturing excellence which transforms into objects an untiring technological research into the potential of light. Each lamp is a milestone along this journey. Over time, from unusual materials, original designs and new lighting sources ensued revolutionary iconic designs by tito agnoli, joe colombo, marco zanuso, ostuni e forti, and vico magistretti, who since the 1950s, have been rewriting the history of lighting. Recent collections reaffirm oluce design and decorative approach, expressed through the signs by italian and international designers such as angeletti & ruzza, francesco rota, nendo, victor vasilev, nicola gallizia, christophe pillet, mist-o and david lopez quincoces. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller

Cancellations
