Suspension lamp 'the globe' designed by joe colombo in 1964. Suspension lamp giving direct and diffused light in transparent blown glass. Manufactured by oluce, italy. The globe is a lamp which was designed by joe colombo in 1964, created in table, suspension and wall lamp versions. Its pure geometries co-exist in a constant balance between shape and functionality: the transparent blown-glass sphere contains the cylindrical metal reflector that projects its timeless light into space. Materials and color: transparent blown glass satin nickel metal dimensions: d 30 cm x w 30 cm x h 27 cm (300 cm cable) technical information: 1 x max 60w (e27) founded in 1945, oluce is the oldest italian design company in the lighting sector still in operation today. Oluce lighting design aesthetic is crisp, linear, and decorative. A subtle, intellectual beauty that over the years has led the company to produce some of the more recognizable and admired iconic lighting in the world. Oluce, already participating at the 9th triennale in milan, throughout its long history, has received numerous acknowledgements including two golden compass awards, two design awards and the gold medal at the 13th triennale in milan. Its lamps appear in the most important permanent design collections worldwide. Oluce’s expertise reveals its unparalleled manufacturing excellence which transforms into objects an untiring technological research into the potential of light. Each lamp is a milestone along this journey. Over time, from unusual materials, original designs and new lighting sources ensued revolutionary iconic designs by tito agnoli, joe colombo, marco zanuso, ostuni e forti, and vico magistretti, who since the 50s, have been rewriting the history of lighting. Recent collections reaffirm oluce design and decorative approach, expressed through the signs by italian and international designers such as angeletti & ruzza, francesco rota, nendo, victor vasilev, nicola gallizia, christophe pillet, mist-o and david lopez quincoces. this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).

Cancellations

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
