Wall lamp 'alba' designed by mariana pellegrino soto in 2019. Wall lamp giving diffused light in polished opaline blown-glass. Satin brass finish structure with rectangular profile. Manufactured by oluce, italy. The concept of alba starts with a very simple element: the designer’s imagination was inspired by a drop of water, which she puts to use in different ways, depending on the model. References to the world of nature, with soft shapes contrasted with square lines, together with the use of a satin brass finish and anodic bronze finish, combine to create alba, a family with a strong visual impact. Materials and color: opaline blown-glass satin brass finish variations: available in table lamp and floor version. Dimensions: d 33 cm x w 26 cm x h 25 cm technical information: 1 x max 60 w (e27) founded in 1945, oluce is the oldest italian design company in the lighting sector still in operation today. Oluce lighting design aesthetic is crisp, linear, and decorative. A subtle, intellectual beauty that over the years has led the company to produce some of the more recognizable and admired iconic lighting in the world. Oluce, already participating at the 9th triennale in milan, throughout its long history, has received numerous acknowledgements including two golden compass awards, two design awards and the gold medal at the 13th triennale in milan. Each lamp is a milestone along this journey. Over time, from unusual materials, original designs and new lighting sources ensued revolutionary iconic designs by tito agnoli, joe colombo, marco zanuso, ostuni e forti, and vico magistretti, who since the 1950s, have been rewriting the history of lighting. Recent collections reaffirm oluce design and decorative approach, expressed through the signs by italian and international designers such as angeletti & ruzza, francesco rota, nendo, victor vasilev, nicola gallizia, christophe pillet, mist-o and david lopez quincoces. this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
