Heavy brass flat bar polished edged top and base perimeter surround, professionally polished, each pieces is marked underside, and can only be disassembled and put together in such a way conducive to specifications. Also newly, professionally refinished in a brown mahogany original finish, with recessed top, flush mount glass insert included. Maker's mark included underside top near edge, as last image indicates. Base dimensions 58" W x 18" D. Trouvailles Furniture Company; was an esteemed manufacture based in Watertown, Mass., and in it's hey day, between 1890s-1970s, and in the height of good, classical grounded designs, which spanned an impressive era within the interior design industry, inclusive of the likes of Maison Jansen. Attention to quality and detail was not spared here. This is a perfect, and dynamic piece for a big entree, or foyer, a lobby, large interior room, perhaps in a dinner room, or living area, but a seminal piece of American Furniture design, nonetheless, beyond a conversational piece, yet centrical.
