The frame is made of mahogany … Read more The pillar mirror, also called Trumeau is from the time of the German Biedermeier. The frame is made of mahogany and root wood veneer. On the frame above the mirror, a mythological scenery is shown. In addition, brass applications in the form of small rosettes decorate the frame of the mirror. The mirror glass was presumably added later. On the back there is a seal from Altona, Hamburg. Unfortunately, a brass rosette is missing and the mahogany veneer is torn in some places (see photos). Nevertheless, the mirror is a very nice piece, which makes something really what makes despite small beauty error. See less
