A Chinese bronze statue from the late 18th century Qing Dynasty period is captured in the style of a “Laughing Buddha”, casted in a sand mold. The statue used to be gilded but only a few weak traces are still visible. This voluminous Buddha is resting at ease, raising the right arm up and
holding the prayer beads in the hand. The Buddha is dressed in loose robes with chest, belly and left shoulder exposed.

Condition is good considering wear and age. Age patina has covered the gilding.
Wooden base is of later date.
