It has an octagonal bronze base and is very heavy. I detect no defects, scratches, or etc. on this beautiful lamp! It has definitely been very well cared for over the years. It is extremely heavy, weighing just under 11 pounds (not including the shade or any packaging)!

From the bottom of the lamp to the finial measures about 32". The maximum width of the lamp (near the middle) is about 7". The hexagon-shaped base has an 8" diameter. The bottom is covered in felt so that it will not scratch wood surfaces.

The high quality, high-end padded linen shade measures 14" tall and 18" in diameter at the bottom. It is linen with a good 1/4" or more of padding. The shade is off-white (please see photos) in color. The shade is the type you would only find at very high end furniture or department stores, and would likely cost in the $100-200 range.

The lamp works to perfection. It is in perfect condition.

Do note that I will be shipping the shade separately to keep from damaging it. Between the heavy weight of the lamp (in one package) and the oversize packaging required to ship the shade, shipping cost will be significant. I am an experienced shipper and am able to both provide quality and safe shipping, and am selective when choosing the shipping source to ensure the most economical, yet quality shipping. Please take this into account when assessing the value of this beautiful lamp and shade. A separate (heavy duty, well padded) box will be used for the lamp. See less
