This runner is extremely compactly woven, dense and heavy like a good old Bidjar. Nine hexagons form a pole medallion on a royal blue field. A striking green, madder red, light blue and ivory are the medallion tones, and each is centered by a square with two striped quadrupeds.
The narrow golden camel border displays rosettes and slant leaves, between red and blue-green minor guard borders.
The weave is particularly dense, with about 100 knots per square inch of good quality local wool. Long and narrow runners are always desirable and the heft of this attractive piece means that it will stay in place even in areas of heavy traffic. The condition is good with slight wear down the center. This runner has been cleaned professionally.
