A long, long time ago I happened upon three of these mind-bogglingly gorgeous shades, emissaries from the Art Deco/Modernist period. I sold two instantly but kept this one and used it for lo these many decades. I’ve moved and as much as I want to use it, no room!!

The shade’s quite heavy, and the light you’ll get from it has two advantages – one, it’s beautifully diffused and two, it’s got a slight warmth to it that will make you think you’re sunning in the Bahamas. Then there's that solidly architectural look!
The solid brass, polished nickel hardware is period. I’ve taken it all apart and had it nickel-plated (and have you ever seen a more gorgeous apparatus?). The shade fitter has a six inch diameter (diameter of the shade lip). The fitter contains its original porcelain standard-based socket and you can use any size bulb you want. I generally use a 150 or 200-watt bulb with this. It lights up the room like daylight!
Measurements: the shade’s about 16 across and 11 tall and weighs about 8 pounds by itself!! As shown the whole affair hangs down about 26 inches.
