This rich vintage handwoven Moroccan Boujad area rug features an overall geometric pattern composed of a grid of intricate lozenges with smaller squares, pointed stars, crosses and other Berber symbolism. With a soft low pile texture, the palette is warm and bold with deep colors - scarlet, saffron, deep golds, charcoal gray and black. The rug is finished with a braided cotton fringe to one end.
CONDITION
Very good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Some fraying at top center edge (see photo) not out of line with overall vintage character.
