These two beautiful quilts were made in the early 1920's in Mitchell Nebraska, sewn by hand, and by using a 1920 Singer Sewing machine. The last place Giselle wanted to end up in was Nebraska. Her husband had taken a train across the country to Los Angeles, met a land developer on the train who touted Nebraska and told Giselle's husband that Nebraska would be a great place to settle.
You can imagine Giselle's surprise as she was summoned to Nebraska when she thought she was moving to sunny California. Her husband was a suit maker, and money was scarce so in order to make quilts she used the left over pieces from the suits and clothing that her husband created. These quilts are made from mostly wool and cotton. One is backed in satin, the other is backed in cotton.

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.

- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
