Design icon! this iconic sofa is probably noticed in various design magazines, houses of celebrities & influencers via social media. Mario bellini's camaleonda lounge chairs were designed 50 years ago and still hot! mario bellini is a well-known italian designer from milan and has received various design distances. He has worked with the top in the design world such as flos, arco, kartell, cassina, vitra and of course b & b italia. The camaleonda was designed in the 70s for b & b italia (then known as c & b italia). Designed for the moma show called 'the new domestic landscape' in 1972. It was immediately a resounding success. Bellini was known for experimenting innovative materials & production methods. The name 'cameleonda' comes from the word kameleon (camaleonte in italian), which can adapt to the area & the word 'onda' (wave). Both words together describes the function of the bank. The modular elements make the sofa inflexible flexible. Despite being well sold, the cameleonda retired after only eight years of production in 1979. Nevertheless, the bank would become iconic and b & b italia brought the design to production again in 2020. This is an original vintage model from the 70s. They are two loose 1-seater modules. Together absolutely crazy as 'love seat'. The sofa is still equipped with original upholstery and given the age in a beautiful vintage condition with patina. The bottom of the bank is equipped with the original brand sticker. The iconic upholstery makes this piece absolutely a design classic. Easy to place in the interior, together as a sofa or apart as an armchair. No further words needed, this is a must have! i have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
from
misattribution
