The madder red field of this Heriz carpet shows an open angular,multi-level arabesque enclosing palmettes, rosettes, lesser vine and herringbone pattern shrubs. Among the detail tones there is a widely used moss green together with royal and light blue, straw, lime green and ivory. The navy main border features a progressive triangular flower pattern. As a whole, this carpet displays an unusual field and border design with a lavish use of greens and gold. The foundation is cotton. The condition is very good with very minor wear in some spots. A most desirable size with an authentic rustic style.
