Sleigh form with divided interior; attractive half turned ends capped with roundels. A large scale piece measuring 22" long x 17 1/4" wide x 8" tall. Dates from the late 19th century. Highly figured mahogany with pleasing patina. Good condition consistent with age and use - minor dings. Perfect for displaying fruit or other decorative arts. May be used as a catch all tidy for books and magazines or a serving piece for bread - holds enough for a large party. Two original holes on the bottom for hanging on the wall. See less
