Pittman lived and worked in … Read more North East Harbor No. II Watercolor, 1963 by Listed American Landscape Artist, Hobson Pittman, (1899-1972). Pittman lived and worked in Pennsylvania on the Main Line around Philadelphia during the early 20th century. He was dubbed the Poet Painter and was known for his atmospheric landscape paintings.. He studied at Penn State, the Carnegie Institute and Columbia. HIs works have been exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, the Corcoran Gallery and the Art Institute of Chicago to name a few. His paintings are in prominent museum collections, including the MET, The Whitney and the Philadelphia Museum. Framed. See less
