Pair of Vintage, 28" Tall, Minimalist, Alberto Giacometti style Brutalist Metal Nail Sculptures of a Man and a Woman.
Both set atop a cubed plinth of the same cocoa brown color.
The figures are made using small nails soldered closely together. It's a very tactile and unique sculptures material.
The coupling of the pair, their slim silhouette and considerable height, creates a very dramatic mid century Modern display.
I have owned them for decades.
I have used them often when photographing furniture or room interiors.
I usually set them on a dramatic piece of furniture, like a Danish Modern teak credenza, off-centered, to affect a dramatic, minimalist look.
They are even more exquisite spot or back lit, whether displayed on a table top or inside a tall display unit.
You will be far more impressed with them when seen in person.
