Knight was an English Conservative politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1841 to 1885. Here he seems to be mourning his own wife, perhaps, while casting an eye towards her sister, perhaps? His chromolithograph portrait was rendered by the most famous Vanity Fair artist, Sir Matthew Leslie Ward, aka "Spy". Matted in a 16" x 20" pH neutral mat for ease of framing in a readymade frame, this print is in excellent condition as pictured. See less
