What a fine figure George Armitstead cuts, with a top hat that matches his beard. The, 1st Baron Armitstead (1824-1915) was a British businessman, philanthropist and Liberal politician.
He was immortalized in the pages of the October 28, 1882 issue of Vanity Fair.by the most famous Vanity Fair artist, Sir Matthew Leslie Ward, aka "Spy". Matted in a 16" x 20" pH neutral mat for ease of framing in a readymade frame, this print is in excellent condition with a few small page edge nicks as pictured.
