Vladimir JOUKOV (Pocrovca, Ussuriysk, 1922/2010) After a difficult and poor childhood, at age of 13, he joined a crew of the Navy in Vladivostok. He spent five years to the front during the Second World War. In 1947 he was admitted to the School of Art Muchina in Leningrad, later he attended the institute Serov and finally he concluded his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Repin. His artistic activity was regular over the years and full of official recognition. Since 1971 he is member of the Union of Painters of St. Petersburg. His works are in the painting collections of several museums in Russia. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
