Description
A Pair of 18th Century painted on silk velvet Ancestor Portraits. This set is of high ranking military official Lu … more A Pair of 18th Century painted on silk velvet Ancestor Portraits. This set is of high ranking military official Lu Ming & his wife Lu Tai Tai. The pair is in great condition with the exception of some crackelure throughout the painted panels. They have no tears or major paint loss. The beige brocade fabrics on the back of each panel are different in design & color and do not match. Both panels are the same dimensions. I do believe the gold bullion trim and beige brocade fabric was added in the 20 century due to the great condition of the fabric on the back and this art may have been commissioned by their family members. A rare painted on paper set like this can be found at The Virginia & Albert Museum.. ( Look at the last photo ). Exact date of this Art or the artist who created this is unknown. No markings or signature could be found. The 100 yr old Peking ( Lucky ) rug that’s in the photos is also available for purchase. I will be listing it on Chairish soon. - Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller

Cancellations

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.

- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.
