The boy pictured in an interior scene wearing a fur hat, seated at a table and reading a map. He is dressed for an outing. In the background is a door and a landscape painting hanging on the wall. Measures 22" x 15 1/4". Good condition. Lay was a prominent landscape architect who designed countless parks, subdivisions, private estates, and gardens throughout the United States.
