Chinese porcelain brown glazed temple fruit pyramid. The fruit pyramid is made up of small pomegranate and coated in a brown aubergine glaze. Each fruit is molded individually and stacked in a traditional pyramid. Kangxi fruit stacks were used as fruit offerings in a home or temple altar, and also in tombs. Worshipers believed the Gods could not discern the difference between fresh fruit and porcelain facsimiles. Good condition. Measures 6 3/4" tall. See less
