Amazing mid-century oval rattan and bamboo coffee table with glass top. This fantastic item was designed in the Netherlands by Dirk Van Sliedrecht for Rohe Noordwolde during the 1950s. This wonderful coffee table features curved legs in bamboo, a lower shelf in rattan and a top one in glass. This cocktail table is very useful and adaptable thanks to its design and its solid bamboo structure will enrich a mid-century living room or porch. Dirk van Sliedregt was a talented Dutch designer from the 20th century. He is famous for the beautiful creation in rattan he made. The pieces of furniture designed by van Sliedregt are characterized by their simple and functional forms. When we look at his work, we immediately understand his admiration for the famous designer Kaare Klint. Even if he had a predilection for seats, the designer also designed amazing tables. Dirk van Sliedregt was born in the Netherlands in 1920. He quickly developed an interest in furniture design and also teaching. In fact, for several years, he taught in different universities such as the Enschede academy and the academy of Amsterdam. He saw many talented pupils such as the designer Mart van Schijndel and the interior designer Evelyne Merkx. Van Sliedregt really loved rattan, he used this material for many creations. Even if he is not so much known in France, the designer has deeply left his mark concerning the after-war design in the Netherlands. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).
- On approved returns, the buyer is responsible for the full cost of return packing and shipping.
Cancellations
- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.

- Chairish Express In-Home Delivery
- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.
- Shipping charges start at $999 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.
- Shipping charges start at $799 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.

- Chairish In-Home Delivery
