European carpet manufactures are being radically renewed. Abandoning the classic redundant themes of the carpets of the aristocratic palaces, they preferred elegant designs, but at the same time very essential, more suitable for the apartments of the bourgeoisie, which had established itself as well as politically on a cultural and taste level. Our Savonnerie of Austrian production, is characterized by a compartmentalized background of an unusual green bottle. The various compartments are divided by flower garlands with delicate pink flowers. The elegant border has in the four corners clusters of flowers with shades between pink and purple. A carpet of a romantic taste still very current in the houses of Tyrol. See less
