The colors of rusty, salmon, pink, buttery yellow, various blue'and ivories that decorate this beautiful antique Karachopf carpet are all representative of 19th century Caucasian weaving. The geometric design is among those of the finest Caucasian pieces, while the composition is characterized by a series of stacked rectangular bodies, featuring a central square amongst larger rectangles.
