Identity is … Read more The Covered Identity collection, consisting of the Dining Table and Side Table, stands in contrast to living beings, as objects with no self-defined identity. Identity is instead given and interpreted from the outside without any reflection or experience. This was the inspiration for Covered Identity. It features shapes that one would never find in nature and colors that cover every texture; one identity disappears so that another one can exist. A canvas emerges to tell a story of a stranger. For Studio Pascal Howe, designing a shape only using basic geometrical forms whilst following a strict geometrical principle became a priority. Besides the tabletop, every element features the same rectangular profile. This listing is for the Side Table. See less
