The top … Read more This superb quality early 20th-century mahogany cabinet in the Chinese Chippendale manner was produced by Edwards & Roberts. The top of the cabinet has a broken arch pediment with dentil moldings and pierced fret supports. The main section is profusely decorated with blind fret on the carcass and doors, each of these being thirteen pane astragal glazed doors with original glass. They open to reveal four adjustable shelves. The base section has two mahogany lined drawers with original brass handles, one of the drawers is stamped 'Edwards & Roberts'. The cabinet is supported by four square blind fret legs ending with block feet, the legs are united by a concave shaped shelf with a pierced gallery. It was produced circa 1900. See less
