A refined and historically significant vienna armchair produced by jakob & josef kohn and attributed to a design by josef hoffmann.
the composition reflects the essential principles of the viennese secession: clarity of line, geometric rigor, and functional elegance. The open backrests are defined by a distinctive linear pattern with vertical and diagonal elements, creating a rhythmic interplay of structure and lightness.
the frame, crafted in finely finished walnut wood, are complemented by upholstered seats in leather, adding warmth and tactile contrast to the disciplined geometry of the design. The armrests curve gently, softening the otherwise architectural composition.
this set represents a sophisticated dialogue between craftsmanship and early modern design, making it highly desirable for collectors and particularly suited to refined interiors bridging classic and modern aesthetics.
