The whole ensemble stands on four legs with the front set-off and decorated with swirls and masks. A rich carved molding adorned with caning patterns has carved set-off side uprights decorated with masks, garlands and acanthus leaves. The two drop leaves opening on a shelf while the upper drawers can be opened with a winged lion forming handle. The upper part, shallowing, is flanked by shelves on each side on standing on a chimaera and a swirls background. Decorative register inherited of the Renaissance – Henri II period, such as grotesques, swirls, acanthus leaves, cornucopia, chimeras, cherub and portrait in oval medals.
