In 1929 Walter Georg Kostka presented this light cube designed for Atrax at the Internationale Reklameschau in Berlin. The cube was made of crystal-covered (double-walled) opal glass in a warm white tone. The Atrax cube was considered a new light component that adapted to modern architecture and spatial art.
The cubes were also made for export, where slightly modified rods were used.
This rod is nickel-plated. It features an E27 fitting. This piece has an attribution mark,
