This very large rug was hand-knotted in the netherlands ca. 1890-1905. The design has been attributed to theodoor nieuwenhuis for koninklijke vereenigde tapijtfabrieken deventer. The design features floral motives and dragonflies. The colors used are all with natural pigments. Some wear and stains, consistent with age and use. One of a kind! This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
