In his paintings, Radu Rodideal speaks about the concept of loneliness. Everybody is born alone and everybody dies alone. In our century to be alone and to feel lonely is one of the most common sentiments.
Radu Rodideal’s characters are alone, surprised in a meditative state of mind. The artist chooses not to represent the head of the characters, in many of the paintings the figures are represented from one side or from the backside, but in a way that you never encounter their eyes. If you see the eyes you can meet the soul.
But no, the viewer can only discover the character through some fragmented bodies and different objects; you can see the beautiful legs, nice shoes or electric dresses.
Each character is represented in a colorful non-representational background, which is shaped by clear lines, as a contrast of colors and form. This piece has an attribution mark,
