Belt and Braces chair with its Companion stool are designed to show the beauty of acrylic as a luxury material. The crystal clear acrylic used refracts light and sparkles like a gemstone. Viewed from the side the seat fabric appears to be floating mid-air.
The chair is made from eight interlocking parts with no solvents or screws and the stool is made from the part removed from the center of the chair in manufacture. Both the chair and the stool are covered in the finest aniline leather with a moiré patterned fabric backing. A range of colour choices are available for both.
Belt and Braces evolved from a plywood chair designed by Steve Woodman and William Drabble in 1999. The design was finalised and first produced in 2018. Imprinted by Maker,Imprinted by Maker
